27yo male patient admitted to the ED with abdominal pain.
No medical history.
PE: guarding (+), rebound tenderness (-) on RLQ.
LAB: Wbc: 16700.
POCUS: Non-compressible, luminal distention of appendix, had an outer diameter of 9.5 mm. Additionally, increased mural thickness, periappendiceal fat tissue echogenicity, anechoic free fluid collection. In this case an appendicolith image with posterior shadowing.
